About Blazondo

Built on a decade of embroidery expertise.

We are a small Finnish atelier with more than ten years of embroidery experience, serving European schools, brands, and communities. We started Blazondo because we saw schools struggling with the same problems repeatedly — and we knew we could fix them.

Why we built this.

Schools wanted reliable, compliant, beautifully-made identity programmes — and most of what existed in the EU market was either premium-only (excluding budget-conscious communities) or low-quality fast-fashion (that didn't last a term). The middle ground was missing.

We built Blazondo to fill that middle ground without compromise. Three programme tiers, every one with the same compliance, the same care, the same dignity. The difference between Patches and Heritage is depth — not quality.

We brought our embroidery expertise — ten years of stitching crests for schools, sports clubs, brands, and ceremonial pieces — and combined it with carefully chosen production partners across the EU. Portuguese garment producers we trust. Italian patch partners. Baltic sewing capacity. All within Europe, all OEKO-TEX certified, all working to the same standards.

What guides our work.

Identity is not a luxury good.

Every child deserves to feel they belong to their school, regardless of family budget. We offer programmes at three tiers because access to identity should not depend on income.

Quality at every level.

OEKO-TEX certified materials, REACH compliance, tested standards. The Patches tier uses the same quality fabric and thread as Heritage. The difference is what you build with that quality.

Made in Europe.

Production partners in Portugal, Italy, and the Baltic region. EU labour standards, EU compliance, EU oversight. No surprises about where things come from.

Privacy-first operations.

School portals use anonymised pupil IDs. We do not collect parent emails or addresses through schools. The data stays where it belongs — with the school.

Honesty over polish.

If a timeline is unrealistic, we say so. If a programme doesn't fit, we say so. We'd rather lose an order than over-promise.

Long partnerships.

Schools commit to a year, sometimes longer. We commit to being there — same team, same standards, same conversations — for as long as the partnership lasts.
